The cities of Utrecht and Amersfoort and the rest of Utrecht province offer a trove of cultural heritage related to the Dutch movement known as De Stijl. This heritage – some of it still relatively unknown – was showcased in 2017 during the Mondrian to Dutch Design Year, and its position cemented in tangible tourist products. The philosophy of De Stijl fits with the province of Utrecht, its residents and the innovative dynamic of its cities, which together can justly claim the title of the ‘De Stijl Region’ and continue building this as a strong brand. Experience De Stijl: yesterday, today and tomorrow throughout the province of Utrecht!
